Poor framerate throughout-I know this is low budget but considering how this game looks (and taking into account that it is from 2015) I would have hoped that the performance would be better. I hope that the existence of this boss does not discourage people from playing since this is a really entertaining game! I found it beatable after practicing for a few hours, but I hear many struggled with it and gave up. I should note final boss is different from the rest of the game in terms of game play style. White subtitles on bright backgrounds for some narrated cutscenes (although the information is not too important tbh) Framerate dips at times, but does not affect gameplay much. Some DLC missions for some sisters are lackluster for their price ($30 USD bundled) AI allies are pretty much useless combat-wise Chakram weapons are only useful in their introduction mission.and thats it +/- A lot of bloodshed, but can be disabled if desired +/- Great Japanese voice acting, but it is DLC ($5 DLC) +/- Final boss is different, but an interesting concept that I personally enjoyed.

+/- Maps are reused a lot, but have different enemies and are reversed and such to make it less repetitive. +Nice bits of humor and 4th wall breaking While fighting does get a bit dull after a while, the dialogue and story content kept me going till the end. The DLC content gets rid 90% of the grind, other than about 4 required side missions and if you found all of the hidden weapon chests while normally playing, to unlock the final branch. The difficulty is fairly easy for the initial branch of the story, but it increases a bit in each subsequent branch. There are different combos for each weapon type (4 types) and some specific changes for certain specific weapons.

I should note that most of the dialogue is full of vulgarity and blatant sexual innuendos so if you cannot deal with that sort of language I would not recommend this game. The story is pretty interesting and is full of characters who are a bit insane and have their own kinks.

Anyway I can't recommend this game to everyone because has a lot of bad design choices and maybe is a bad game, but if you're interested in kinda philosophical stories with anime characters and lewd design, maybe this can be for you.ĭrakengard 3 is a very enjoyable experience in comparison to the original title.

Be wary that you need to do a bullshit thing to get access to the real final boss (get every weapon and upgrade it to the max), which isn't hard but you need a lot of mindless repetitive grinding, and talking about hardness this game after 7 hours or so of trying the to beat the final boss I just couldn't and I have to quit, to this date is the only boss that I have to give up, a lot of people says that Is a bullshit boss but even after a I couldn't beat it I disagree, it's just brilliant but incredible hard nevertheless.

Even tho' it has everything to let this game go, I just couldn't it has a very interesting story to tell and incredible well written characters, the soundtrack is just pretty much amazing. The music itself is a reminiscence of Tekken soundtrack that has been the field of work of Keiichi Okabe for almost 10 years, combined with emotional NieR-like style. Above are some previews of the track. This game introduced me to the excellent writing of Yoko Taro, at first I picked this because of the character design (which is amazing) ignoring that from the moment I see game play videos the combat seemed kind of dull and bad, to my surprise the combat was even worse, repetitive uninteresting combat and that can be said also for the side quests, also is note worthy that the English dub is terrible but you have the option of buying a pack with Japanese voices (which I strongly recommend if you have the extra bucks).
