I will let you know that it uses microsoft virtual wifi adapter drivers. Im trying to. Driver problem fixed start the hotspot again mhotspot not working. MHotspot is a.
I was using connectify until now, but I tried mHotspot in my tablet and I like it better than connectify. Now, in my HP laptop, when I try to supply hotspot via mHotspot, it is saying that driver problem found.
And, it redirects me to this page - I think the problem is the adapter is already configured by connectify, that even if I tried to uninstall connectify, it didnt make any difference. How can I reconfigure microsoft wifi virtual adapter to use mHotspot instead of connectify. Also, I noticed that, after I exit connectify and try to connect through mHotspot, the 'shared' connection of my wifi is turned off automatically. Please help!! This is a possible solution for people experiencing this problem. Our company purchased a large number of the RAZR M phones only to find out that the hotspot would work very poorly or not at all.
Doing a lot of searches online came up with no real answers, so I wanted to provide an answer that worked for us. Problem: When using the hotspot on two different models of laptops, the hotspot would connect, but you'd get limited internet connection. The Windows 7 repair would reset the adapter each time, but that wouldn't help.
There were times when you could get a page to load, but in most cases, nothing would load. Pinging IP addresses would result in an 84% packet loss at the best of times. USB and Bluetooth tethering worked fine. Solution: It turns out that the RAZR M has a compatibility problem with the Realtek Wireless Adapter RTL8188CE and RTL8192CE.
This may also relate to various other Realtek Wireless Adapters. The way around that is to first make sure you're on the latest driver version (currently an October 2012 version). Then you also have to change the adapter to b/g instead of the default b/g/n. As soon as you do that with the latest driver version, it starts working perfectly. If you use an older driver or use b/g/n, it will not work.
Comments: Although this is clearly at least partly the fault of the Wireless Adapter, it is also partly a problem with the RAZR M. We tried a variety of other phones and every single one worked fine on the old driver and using b/g/n.
Only the RAZR M failed, and it failed on every phone we had and on any laptop that had one of those adapters. It's possible the driver will get an update that corrects the compatibility problem, but there is something specific to the RAZR M that is triggering the problem and that may be something an update to that phone could fix. I hope this can help others who run into this problem without having to spend many hours trying a wide variety of combinations of changes until finally finding the right fix.
I hope Motorola will consider giving this information to their phone support as they were unable to provide any support so far on fixing the problem (we fixed it before their Tier 3 support called us). No Internet Motorola Droid Razr Maxx HD Hotspot tether Problem (Solved) aka 802.11 b/g/n problem I found this post after several hours of searching for a solution to my problem, Much thanks. I wanted to add my exact problem to help others find the answer faster than I did. Problem: I could connect my Razr Maxx to my wifi but got 'No internet' when attempting to hotspot, bluetooth or USB (Connected ia usb but was SUPERSLOW / limited) tethering for a shared internet connection on a Motorola Razr Maxx HD. I could connect, hotspot and 'got internet' from the Motorola device to another computer and to a Samsung Tab2 Tablet with no issue. Solution: I used the advice above to switch the Realtek network adapater to B/G mode rather than B/G/N (the default). The steps for me on Windows 8 on a Clevo / Sager computer: Start / Device Manager/ Open Network Adapters/ right click the Realtek/ Properties (at the bottom)/ Click Advanced Tab (2nd tab over)/ Wireless Mode (Bottom Selection)/ set value to ieee 802.11b/g from the default ieee 802.11b/g/n Sorry for the robot speak, I just want this to be keyword phrase rich for others who might have this issue.
